I have used art as a way to communicate, cope and heal for as long as I can remember. I wanted to spend my life making art and connecting with people in hopes that I can help others on their healing journey which is how I ended up being an art therapist.
My clients are very diverse, I work with a lot of artists and people in the arts—creatives are my people. Not that you need to be an artist /creative at all to use art therapy which is about process not product. I also believe that we are all creative in our own ways. Some folx prefer talk therapy which is just fine. I work from an Existential framework which is basically about finding meaning , being present/mindfulness and authenticity.
I am a trauma and LGBTQI specialist with a social justice bent. I am a preferred provider with Premera, Regence, Uniform Medical, United Healthcare, and some Apple Care plans.
Art saved my life. Get in touch to see how it can make a difference for you.
